Thank You
Before anything else, we want to offer our deepest thanks to everyone who has helped make PL Prodigy a reality. From the very beginning, we’ve been fortunate to attract the best part of the Brawl Stars community — players who genuinely want to improve and, just as importantly, give back. You’ve supported our team through every step of this journey, helping us achieve things we wouldn’t have dreamed possible just a few years ago.
Along the way, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with an incredible team — people who’ve poured their blood, sweat, and tears into this project. What began as a two-person effort quickly grew to four, and over time, we’ve collaborated with a total of seven dedicated contributors. Our team continues to expand as we build toward an even bigger vision for the future of Prodigy.
We’ve also been fortunate to partner with a number of talented individual creators and respected organizations within the Brawl Stars community. These include Brawl Hub, r/BrawlStarsCompetitive, R7, and most recently, Rival Esports — a partnership that brought us all the way to the 2024 World Finals stage!
So, from the bottom of our hearts — thank you.
I wanted to take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come — and to share some exciting updates about what’s ahead.
How Far We’ve Come
What started as a simple spreadsheet, “The Power League Picker”, in late 2022 became a public prototype by May 2023. That summer, we released our first guide and introduced machine learning to improve recommendations. By the end of 2024, players could import their accounts for personalized suggestions — paving the way for Prodigy Path, a tool that helps players know exactly which brawlers to unlock and power up.
In early 2025, we overhauled the site with a homepage, easier navigation, and user sign-in — which finally made monetization possible and helped us keep up with growing demand.
As of this month, we’ve officially incorporated as Prodigy Esports LLC. While this helps us on the financial and bookkeeping front, it also marks a major turning point for the future of the project.
We didn’t start Prodigy to make money — we started it to make something that matters. And now, thanks to your support through ads and donations, we’re able to build even more than we imagined.
What’s Next
One of the biggest changes we’re making is in how we think about what we offer. We don’t just want to tell players what to pick — we want to teach them how to think during the draft. And we’ve got some exciting ideas in the works to make that happen.
To support this vision, we’re also making a few key strategic changes. Although our YouTube channel has been around for a while, it’s been largely dormant. That’s going to change — we’re planning to lean into more accessible, engaging content. To make that happen, we’re considering partnering with a dedicated Brawl Stars content creator or bringing on a part-time video editor… though that might mean you’ll be seeing a bit more of HunterX.
We’re also working toward getting our own Creator Code, which would give the community a new way to support us and unlock creator perks like giveaways and in-game rewards. When you share this, go ahead and lovingly tag Supercell. Let’s make sure they know we’re ready.
Further down the road, we have even bigger plans in store. We want to make learning the game more personal and practical — especially for players who are serious about improving and want a real edge. We’re exploring new ways to connect players with the kind of support that truly makes a difference.
And while we know there are plenty of prodigies out there — we just might want a Prodigy team of our own one day.
Lastly, we’re excited to share that we will be at the 2025 Brawl Cup at DreamHack Dallas! We’re eager to connect with the community face-to-face next month. If you’ll be attending and want to meet up, don’t hesitate to reach out — see you there!
It has been an absolute honor to serve this community, and we look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.
