Brawler Gameplay Style
Piper is a hybrid brawler - she can be played passively in Knockout or Bounty as well as aggressively in modes like Brawl Ball. In Heist she is played as a controller, keeping middle control and keeping enemy damage dealers like Colette, Colt or 8-Bit away from the safe. Piper works best on maps that have few obstacles as she outranges many brawlers and still has a very high DPS. Her best maps are Backyard Bowl, Safe Zone and Shooting Star.
Gear Selection
Damage (Effective): One of the best Gears for Piper as she profits very much from it, dealing even more damage.
Shield (Effective): Works perfectly with Piper as she has pretty low health. Prevents her from being one-shot by a Mandy super!
Speed (Ineffective): This gear is not necessary for Piper as she usually operates on maps with few bushes.
Vision (Situational): Only used on specific maps like Kaboom Canyon or Center Stage, it’s still a must-have, because revealing enemies who are hiding in the bushes makes it very easy for Piper to hit her shots.
Health (Ineffective): Pretty much useless on Piper. Gets outclassed by other Gears as Piper's playstyle doesn't mesh very well with it.
Extra Gadget (Effective): One of the best Gears for Piper as she has some of the best gadgets in the game.
Advanced Mechanics
Piper can auto aim at a certain point (~5 tiles away from the enemy) and she will hit her shot almost guaranteed.
Piper can combine an autoaimed shot at close range with the knockback gadget and then autoaim again in order to deal a lot of damage in fights at close range.
When hitting your max range shot, you can follow up with the Homemade Recipe gadget shot in that same direction. It’ll deal almost 7000 damage total and kill pretty much every sniper in the game.
In Brawl Ball, she can make good use of her auto aim gadget as she can shot the ball towards the goal and immediately press it - The enemy defending the goal will get knockbacked and won’t be able to grab the ball during the animation. This can be done with a super shot too.
Piper can turn relatively closed maps like Center Stage or even Sneaky Fields into open maps by using her super. This will favour her and give her an advantage over other common picks on this map (mostly tanks).
Piper's hypercharge is best used for the stat boost, as the super effect isn't the best.
Piper's hypercharge is great for Brawl Ball, as Piper can pass the ball in front of her and jump after it with her Super, destroying walls blocking the goal and scoring easily. Opponents who try to defend the goal will also get knocked back.
Piper gets charged by Assasins like Crow, Edgar or Fang, she can also use her hypercharge's bombs to confirm the kills on the assasins.
In a very desperate situation, Piper's hypercharge knockback can be used to throw enemies into your bombs. This is very inconsistent, though.
Brawler Interactions
Piper's knockback gadget prevents Kenji from switching attacks if he gets interrupted by it.
Piper is the only sniper that can 2-shot by R-T (requires usage of the "Hacks!" R-T Gadget).
The Snappy Sniping Star Power works on spawnables - you should use it when you know you'll be dealing with them!
Brawler Synergies
Piper usually doesn’t have many synergies with other Brawlers - she competes alone as a sniper. She does benefit a bit from Byron's healing while facing counters like Nani or Angelo, though. She also works quite well with 8-Bit in Heist due to his turret's damage boost. Griff is also really good combined with Piper; He can open walls in the early game on maps like Center Stage or Dueling Beetles to give Piper an important advantage.
