Brawler Gameplay Style
Nani is a brawler best suited for passive gameplay, excelling in modes like Wipeout and Knockout. Her long-range attacks and high damage make her difficult to counter on open maps, where she can dominate from a distance. This makes her a fantastic choice in many scenarios, especially where there's little cover.
Nani's Super is especially effective in Wipeout mode, allowing her to secure easy kills, which make it a lot easier to win. Shooting Star stands out as her best map, thanks to its open layout, which enables Nani to control almost every lane and apply consistent pressure on the enemy team.
She remains a strong pick in Ranked even on the more confined maps, due to her versatility and comeback potential.
Gear Selection
Shield Gear (Effective): Shield gear significantly enhances Nani's survivability, making it way easier for her to hold lane. Also allows her to withstand 2 hits from Mandy, making that interaction even easier.
Damage Gear (Effective): This is a must-have for Nani, letting her one shot a lot more brawlers with the super.
Super Charge Gear (Situational): Useful with 8-Bit, otherwise doesn't matter that much.
Speed Gear (Ineffective): Not ideal for Nani since she's not typically played on grassy maps where speed boosts are beneficial.
Heal Gear (Ineffective): Given Nani's passive playstyle, staying out of battle for a few extra seconds won't significantly impact the game, making this gear less useful.
Vision Gear (Ineffective): Nani doesn't benefit much from bush scanning, as she's usually played in open maps, making this gear less effective for her.
Advanced Mechanics
When Nani has her super as well as Damage Gear active, she can prevent her natural healing from activating by shooting anywhere, preserving the increased damage. Find a safe spot to activate her super, and with the Damage Gear, Nani can deal over 6000 damage, enough to take down a Piper with shield gear.
To maximize damage with Nani’s super, perform a complete loop or 'circle' before targeting an enemy. This ensures you deal the highest possible damage.
If an enemy brawler with low health continues to shoot without healing, use Nani's gadget and walk into their shots to eliminate them quickly.
To take down a Tick with your super, fake a turn in his direction to bait out his gadget. Once the gadget is used, loop around and hit Tick while his gadget is on cooldown.
Brawler Interactions
When a Piper with Damage Gear active - indicating she's low on health - uses her super, walk into the super with Nani's gadget to kill her after she lands.
If you encounter a Brock with less than 400 HP, walk into his fire while using Nani's gadget to quickly get rid of him.
Nani can one-shot any sharpshooter when paired with 8-Bit’s turret; Whether using her main attack or super.
When facing a Fang, Mortis, or Sam rushing towards you, use Nani's super with auto-aim. This will knock them back and deal decent damage.
Brawler Synergies
Nani excels in Wipeout when paired with 8-Bit’s turret, as she can one-shot most brawlers and effectively counter aggressive enemies by playing passively.
Nani synergizes well with other sharpshooters, allowing your team to control every lane and maintain a strong defensive position.
It's ideal to have one thrower and one sharpshooter on your team when playing Nani. This combination helps you avoid vulnerability to other throwers and prevents being outranged.
